Embracing Emotion with Bhakti Yoga

Emotions, often seen as obstacles, are sacred energies waiting to guide us toward inner bliss. Bhakti Yoga channels these emotions through devotion, offering practices like Kirtan, the chanting of mantras, which allows us to connect with the universe on a deeply personal level.

Kirtan involves repetitively chanting Sanskrit mantras with simple melodies. While the practice may appear straightforward, its effects are transformative. Singing from the heart bypasses the analytical mind, allowing deep healing to occur. Walls melt, wounds heal, and long-buried emotions resurface, enabling us to immerse in a river of universal love and bliss.

Join Us for a Kirtan Experience

When: Every first Friday of the month, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM.
Where: Mindful Space (Newton), 10 Winstedt Road #02-02 Block A. Specific dates like 6 Dec 2024 and 1 Aug 2025 will be hosted in Little India.

What to Expect:

• A short lecture on Kirtan.
• A soulful musical meditation.
• A home-cooked Sattvic dinner to conclude the session.

Practical Details

• Pay as you wish; donations cover event expenses.
• Bring a water bottle, and wear something cozy for the air-conditioned space
