What is Tanjore Painting?

Rooted in Tamil Nadu’s rich heritage, Tanjore paintings date back to the 1600s under the patronage of the Nayaks of Thanjavur. Known for their vibrant colors, intricate gold work, and embedded semiprecious stones, these devotional artworks exude a timeless charm.

About the Artist

Shalini Gupta is a skilled artist trained in India, with a portfolio of over 100 acclaimed paintings exhibited and sold worldwide. Besides Tanjore art, she specializes in Pichwai art, Indian Miniatures, and Kerala mural paintings. This workshop spans 12-15 two-hour sessions, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of prior experience.
