About Pichwai Art

Originating over 400 years ago in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, Pichwai painting is steeped in tradition and devotion. These exquisite artworks often depict scenes from the life of Lord Krishna, celebrating his divine presence in nature and his connection to the Nathdwara temple. Renowned for their intricate detailing, rich hues, and cultural significance, Pichwai paintings are a treasure trove of Indian heritage.

About the Artist

Shalini Gupta, a distinguished artist trained in India, brings a wealth of expertise to this workshop. With a portfolio of over 100 highly acclaimed paintings, she has exhibited her work internationally and sold pieces to art collectors worldwide. In addition to Pichwai art, she specializes in Tanjore art, Indian miniatures, and Kerala mural paintings, which she teaches on an ongoing basis in Singapore.
