About

The Keppel Coastal Trail, a recent addition to Singapore’s Labrador Nature Park, offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the island’s coastal beauty and biodiversity. This trail comprises a 90-meter-long elevated, wheelchair-accessible boardwalk that provides panoramic sea views, and a 250-meter-long path that meanders through a restored coastal beach forest habitat.

The development of the Keppel Coastal Trail was made possible through a generous S$1 million donation from the Keppel Care Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Keppel Corporation. This contribution underscores the foundation’s commitment to enhancing Singapore’s natural landscapes and promoting environmental conservation.

As part of the trail’s development, the coastal beach forest at Labrador Nature Park has undergone active restoration.

This initiative aims to rejuvenate the area’s native flora and fauna, providing a sanctuary for wildlife and a serene environment for visitors.

The restoration efforts are in line with the National Parks Board’s (NParks) broader strategy to enhance green spaces across the island, ensuring that natural habitats are preserved and accessible to the public.

The Keppel Coastal Trail is a significant component of the larger Labrador Nature Park Network, which encompasses over 200 hectares of interconnected green spaces. This network adds approximately 30 kilometers to Singapore’s nature trails and park connectors, facilitating seamless exploration of the southern region’s natural attractions.

The Keppel Coastal Trail not only enriches the recreational offerings at Labrador Nature Park but also serves as a testament to successful public-private partnerships in environmental stewardship. By integrating modern amenities with natural landscapes, the trail invites both locals and tourists to explore and appreciate Singapore’s coastal ecosystems.
